Database Administrator

Job Responsibilities:


The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our database systems and to manage and optimize our Oracle databases.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
  • Perform regular backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Stay current with Oracle updates and best practices in database management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 to 4 years experience designing, developing and generating reports from a relational database application.
  • Strong command of administration and support in Oracle.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
